SATURDAY MORNING CINEMA COMES TO WOTTON

The Electric Picture House Cinema, Wotton-under-Edge is bringing Saturday morning pictures back from September.

The independent venue is introducing a new Saturday Morning Cinema programme, with reduced ticket prices for children.

The first film, showing on Saturday 12 September at 10.30am, will be Minions (U). One of the big box office successes of the summer, the animated comedy spin-off from the Despicable Me films has previously enjoyed a busy run at the Electric in July.

Gareth Negus, Managing Director of the Picture House, said, "Over the past year we've had a number of requests to run a Saturday morning family film, so we've decided to test the water throughout the autumn. We're starting with another chance to see one of the biggest box office hits of the past few months, but we'll also be showing films that are making their first appearance in Wotton-under-Edge."

The next two films have already been confirmed.  Moomins on the Riviera (U) on Saturday 26 September is an animated film based on Tove Jansson's characters.  Doctor Proctor's Fart Powder (PG) on Saturday 10 October is a live-action comedy adaptation of the children's book by bestselling author Jo Nesbo.

Adult tickets will be charged at the cinema's usual rate (£7.00, with seniors at £6.00) but child tickets have been reduced to just £3.00 each.  Tickets can be booked in advance at www.wottoncinema.com.
