Synopsis

The Palme d'Or award-winning film from KORE-EDA HIROKAZU begins when Osamu and his son come across a little girl in the freezing cold. Reluctant to shelter her at first, Osamu's wife eventually agrees after learning of the hardships she faces. Although the family is poor, barely making enough money to survive through petty crime, they live happily, until an unforeseen incident reveals secrets, testing their bonds.
