Paddington returns to cinemas on 20 October

One of the most eagerly anticipated cinema releases of the year is coming soon, when Paddington in Peru is released on Friday 8 November. The Electric Picture House, the independent cinema in Wotton-under-Edge, will be showing the film from its opening weekend, and tickets are on sale now.

But in the meantime, Sunday October 20th is Paddington Day – when Paddington’s first two big screen adventures will be returning in a special double bill.  And on that date only, everyone who sees the films in cinemas will get an exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming big screen adventure, Paddington in Peru. So take the chance to catch these first two classics on the big screen and get yourselves ready for Paddington’s biggest adventure yet!

Gareth Negus, Managing Director of the cinema, said, “Paddington 2 was one of our biggest selling films of the past ten years, so we wasted no time in booking the new film for its date of national release. We’re also delighted to be whetting everyone’s appetite by bringing these modern classics back for a special afternoon.”

Paddington in Peru brings Paddington's story to Peru as he returns to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown Family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and up to the mountain peaks of Peru.

The Paddington and Paddington 2 double bill is on Saturday 20 October at 2pm.  Paddington in Peru is showing on from Friday 8 November. Tickets for all the films can be booked on www.wottoncinema.com.
